Director & Managers
The main objective of the dedicated GMS Surgent professionals is to provide superior services in helping our clients with solutions for their business and personal needs. The firm accomplishes this by adopting a “service approach” which results in the formation of specialty groups that guide us in sustaining quality engagements. We are committed to providing cost effective and efficient service to meet the specific needs of each of our clients.
It is our policy to recruit those employees possessing the highest academic credentials and to encourage their continuing education through participation in professional, as well as, community activities. Upon completion of the CPA exam, we recommend to our staff that they enroll in a graduate level program at a local university or law school. In addition, all CPAs must complete a minimum of eighty continuing education credits in accounting, auditing, and tax topics each biennial period. We place great emphasis on continuing education and our professional personnel members often exceed professional educational requirements.
Some of our professionals also become great instructors. We encourage our professional staff to participate in our bi-weekly training sessions, present topics of an educational nature to community bodies, and even write articles of a technical nature for publication.
We have recently successfully completed a “Peer Review” by the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. We believe that this process has clearly positioned our firm as an industry leader.
