Richard received a Bachelors degree from Temple University and a Master of Taxation from Villanova University. After joining the GMS Surgent team immediately after college, Richard has spent his career steadily advancing from staff accountant to member - an achievement credited to his hard work and loyalty to the firm. 

 

With over 17 years in the public accounting industry, Richard’s experience spans a wide range of client and work types. However, he has proven expertise in the management of estates and trusts, as well as real estate partnerships. Richard specifically enjoys tax research and has efficiently assisted many of his clients with their estate tax planning.

 

Outside of his service to GMS Surgent, Richard serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Korean War Memorial as well as the Board of Advisors of Learnquest Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Program. Additionally, Richard is an active member of the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council.

 

Personally, Richard is married with two young daughters and enjoys spending time with his family.
