Schalleur, Devine & Surgent, LLC Announces New Name & Brand Identity

DEVON – May 5, 2010 – Schalleur, Devine & Surgent, LLC, a suburban Philadelphia firm of Certified Public Accountants & Advisors, announced today that the firm will operate under the name Gallagher, McDevitt, Schalleur & Surgent, LLC effective immediately. The new abbreviated firm name is GMS Surgent.
The move to GMS Surgent is the result of a desire to recognize the valued reputation of the firm’s founders while emphasizing Jack Surgent’s standing as a nationally renowned tax expert.
"Our firm has always represented a commitment to excellence within the tax and accounting industry as well as within its client relationships," explained managing member William Schalleur, MBA, CPA. "The new identity of GMS Surgent will continue to reflect that commitment as we also formally acknowledge managing members Joe McDevitt and Brian Gallagher for their years of valued and dedicated service to the firm.”
The name change will be accompanied by a re-branding initiative consistent with the firm’s success and presence in the region.
